Dr. Maneesh Singh started his career at the world renowned Sankara Nethralaya called as Temple of Eye, Dr. Singh is an extremely knowledgeable, senior clinician and a surgeon who believes in quality of work with several years of experience in the field of ophthalmology. Currently he is attached with Netralayam, Kolkata as a expert in Glaucoma and Cataract, Visiting Consulatnt at Purnima Nethralaya, Jamshedpur. After completing his Masters of Surgery (Ophthalmology) at one of the best colleges of the country, Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, Medical College, Kolkata, Dr. Singh joined as Glaucoma Fellow in Medical Research Foundation, Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai, where he trained under the great teachers of Ophthalmology like Dr. L. Vijaya who have trained some of the biggest names in Glaucoma today. Not only was Dr. Singh judged the Best Outgoing Fellow of his time, he was also awarded the much coveted Gold Medal during his tenure as a fellow at Sankara Nethralaya.
Dr. Singh stood 1 st in Calcutta University in MS Ophthalmology (2009), was awarded with gold medal at honors and university level. During his association with Sankara Nethralaya, Dr. Singh has always taken a keen interest in passing on his knowledge to others and has personally trained fellows in Glaucoma.
Dr. Singh not only practices evidence based medicine, but is also a major contributor to various international journals. He has over 20 published articles in the field of Glaucoma and has presented more than 100 presentations at national and international forum.
Dr. Singh is very proficient in all types of Glaucoma and Cataract Surgeries. He has performed more than 5000 complicated surgeries and is one of the top Glaucoma surgeons in the country. Dr. Singh is a much loved doctor and a favourite of his patients. And though it is his illustrious career and strong academic background by which they benefit, the thing that strikes his patients the most is his gentle, empathetic nature and his warm smile.
